And there it was, a new garden shed. Our experienced craftsmen from The Netherlands started to build the garden shed in the early wednesday morning. The next day - thursday afternoon - the complete garden shed was built and was accommodated with our sedumroof. In the following pictures you can see how we this craftsmanship was delivered. The green sedumroof on itself is great to see, it looks great with the park and needs just a little bit of maintainence. Beside this, the sedumroof isolates the garden shed, muffles sounds and in the spring it will be a great place for bees and wasps.
The owners of this home in Boekelo wished to have a extraordinary terrace. The roof of the basement was raised with 100 cm, after which we placed a stunning sedumroof. Our craftsman designed a unique embellishment of the house. They did not only planted the sedumroof, but beside this, they also placed a wooden floor and stairs. And the result? Unbelievable! A stunning and sustainable terrace which perfectly fits the environment.

Het ‘The ‘Volker Wessels House’ - the new headquarter of Volker Wessels - in Amersfoort was designed by architect ‘De Zwarte Hond’. This new, centrually situated, sustainable office was built by several subsidiary companies of Volker Wessels at Podium in Amersfoort. At the 9 January 2012, the board and employees moved into their beautiful new headquarter.
This project consisiting of 1600 square meters was a project which was commisioned by gardering company ’De Brekeld Rijssen’. Together we created a beautiful greenroof and besides this, we created several segments of ornamental grass. Flagpoles and flower boxes were also installed and trees were planted. The ideas of the architect (Richard de Jong) were implemented in joint consultation, both with regard to the lines and the choice of plants. This created a perfect connection between the building and the environment.
The ‘Volker Wessels Huis’ project is a good example what Groendaktotaal is capable of.
The new ‘Brede School’ in Vaassen was ready in November of 2011. The ‘Brede School’ wants to be a central facility in the neighborhood with different services, such as: education, relaxation, reception and a meeting place. The oblique lines - with a slope of about 75 degrees at the lowest point - were a fantastic challenge for our greenroof specialistst. The sedum roof does not only beautifies the building, but it also increases the insulation value of the building.
